We the People India exists to equip citizens with the civic knowledge needed to participate meaningfully in democracy.
India produces vast amounts of legislation, but most citizens lack clear, usable explanations of what these laws mean for their everyday rights and responsibilities. Policies are drafted in dense legal language, published in limited languages, and communicated in ways that make formal access meaningless for large sections of the population. We work to simplify, explain and translate legislation and public policy in plain, multilingual formats, so that understanding governance is not a privilege, but a public right.
